Education and Experience
I hold a Doctorate of Social Work (DSW) from Rutgers University, a Master of Social Work (MSW) from New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from McGill University. I have clinical licenses (LCSW) in both New York and New Jersey and I hold certificates in psychoanalysis and many trauma-related modalities.

Much of my 30 years of private practice has been working with girls and women to help them remove the emotional and psychological barriers that get in the way of their success. In my practice, I noticed that many of my clients were agreeing to have sex they did not want which made them feel unempowered, anxious, depressed and traumatized. I wanted to understand why this is such a common problem and to find a way to help. I focused my research on this issue and discovered that the major difference between the women who do and don't consent to have unwanted sex is simply education and support.
I created The Consent Project to provide the education missing in our conversations about sex, as a resource for parents to support their daughters, and as a tool for professionals who treat women.
